Kāinga Ora has received $5 billion worth of applications for projects under the government’s infrastructure acceleration fund, five times what’s available.The fund is part of a raft of housing changes announced by the government on March 23 and is intended to speed up the construction of key infrastructure for housing development.The work includes new transport projects or upgrades, as well as water and flood management infrastructure to accommodate new or additional houses.The fund administrator, public housing agency Kāinga Ora, c...
