ANZ New Zealand economists warn the “sun is setting on the golden run” for Kiwi food exports as meat prices come off their elevated levels and as the coronavirus outbreak threatens to spoil the party.The bank’s monthly commodity price index fell 0.9 percent in January, led lower by meat prices which had already eased late last year.The impact of African swine fever on China’s pig herd forced Chinese consumers to look elsewhere for animal protein, which had helped boost those prices through much of last year.
