The government is spending $230 million in Budget 2022 to extend the Apprenticeship Boost scheme until the end of 2023, it announced on Monday.Ministers also said there would be more support for the Mana in Mahi and Māori Trades Training schemes. The apprenticeship funding will provide for 24,000 new places and for 14,000 to continue being supported beyond August this year.However, the first-year subsidy rate will be reduced from $1,000 a month to $500 per month from Aug 5, while the second-year subsidy rate will remain at $500 per month u...
