Australian tourists can fly directly into Queenstown from next week as the resort town gears up for this year’s ski season.From May 23, airlines will resume their direct trans-Tasman flights into and out of Queenstown, giving the resort town a much-needed influx of Australian travellers after two difficult seasons for the local tourism sector. Queenstown Airport chief executive Glen Sowry said airlines have a scheduled capacity of about 75% of pre-covid travel and will monitor demand throughout the winter season. The airport ope...
