Better global mood may help Kiwi markets

Domestic investor sentiment may be boosted by a solid day Thursday in Australia and positive US markets overnight after the Waitangi Day holiday in New Zealand.Australian shares rose sharply Thursday, the S&P/ASX 200 Index ending up 1.1 percent and the ASX futures are pointing to an 8-point lift to 6,988 today.US markets were pushing higher after China’s Ministry of Finance said Thursday said it would halve additional tariffs levied against 1,717 U.S. goods last year, following the signing of a Phase 1 trade deal.According to Reuters, the p...
