The latest share market correction, initiated by the global coronavirus scare, has been brutal.However, it is not as severe as the 2018 December quarter meltdown when Wall Street’s S&P500 Index plunged 20.2 percent from top to bottom, the ASX200 Index came off 15.1 percent and the NZX50 Capital Index fell 9.5 percent.The 2018 market correction was due to concerns the US Federal Reserve Board would raise interest rates in 2019.This time, the market downturn has been caused by concerns that covid-19 will have a major impact on economic activi...
