The New Zealand government’s decision to join Australia, Canada, and the UK in suspending the extradition treaty with Hong Kong because of the passage of the extension of China’s new security law to Hong Kong has drawn an immediate criticism from the Chinese government.  Many are expecting China to retaliate by suspending extraditions to New Zealand from Hong Kong.
