Norma and Richard Emerson are considering pulling the plug on their Tap & Dough bistro, after the second major flood in as many years in the Strath-Taieri valley west of Dunedin swamped their small business on Jan. 2.The couple opened their casual dining venture, replete with a wood-fired pizza oven at Snow Avenue, Middlemarch in November 2018 after relocating to the town in 2011.That was just ahead of the sale of Richard's craft brewery, Emerson's, to giant brewing company Lion in 2012.
