Fitch affirms NZ's rating, not expecting negative rate

Fitch Ratings affirmed New Zealand's local currency rating at AA+ with a stable outlook and its foreign currency rating at AA with a positive outlook.“The positive outlook reflects our confidence that buffers will be rebuilt over the medium-term based on NZ's record of prudent fiscal management and prospects for economic recovery,” the ratings company said.It noted that NZ's effective suppression of covid-19 and the macro-policy response has facilitated a V-shaped recovery, with economic growth back at pre-pandemic level...
