Govt grants 6-month reprieve to work visa holders

Immigration Minister Iain Lees-Galloway has announced short-term adjustments to working visa settings, providing a reprieve to an estimated 17,000 migrant workers until early 2021. Immigration New Zealand’s said the six-month extension to temporary work visas due to expire this year will affect some 16,500 essential skills workers currently in the country.
