High-value agri airfreight exports fall 5% - MPI

Airfreight exports of perishable and high-value live products fell 5 percent in the first three months of the year, as US sales growth wasn't enough to offset declines in New Zealand's biggest markets of Australia and China. The Ministry for Primary Industries' economic update for primary industries showed airfreight exports totaled $532 million in the three months ended March 31, with 9 percent declines in China and Australia and a 13 percent increase in exports to the US.  Rock lobster sales were among the hardest hit high-value exports...
