The Government has ushered into law what it hopes to be a faster fast-track process, though it has recanted some controversial aspects during a bout of urgent lawmaking.The Fast-Track Approvals Amendment Act was passed into law late on Wednesday evening, bringing with it a range of tweaks to the one-stop shop for resource consents, including an addendum to allow new supermarkets into the fast-track.Though the amendments were born out of frustration with the fast-track not being fast enough, the Government backed off in regard to some components...
