Major airports have lost a High Court case against the Commerce Commission over the way regulations on the cost of capital were set.New Zealand Airports Association and Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch airports appealed how the Commerce Commission regulated the cost of capital for airports through the “input methodology” process in 2023.The judgment, issued to parties on Friday, found in ComCom’s favour.However, ComCom has committed to amending errors in its methodology identified during the case.“The framework ens...
