Pizza Hut and KFC operator Restaurant Brands has improved its reported net profit after tax by 2.8% to $30.9 million in its latest annual result.However, a change in balance date means on a like-for-like basis, its profit has decreased by 3.2%.The fast-food operator says while it lost sales and margin from covid-19 in New Zealand, its US operations, where the company has stores in Hawaii and California, are faring well. Restaurant Brands closed its New Zealand stores during level 4, losing $40m in sales.
