The New Zealand sharemarket rose more than 1% in the final week to Christmas – bringing hope that the traditional Santa Claus rally may be on its way.The S&P/NZX 50 Index climbed steadily throughout the day and closed at 13,508.3, up 174.9 points or 1.31%.
