Refinery NZ has confirmed it will lay off 90 people as it tries to simplify the operations at Marsden Point.It had previously flagged 100 jobs when it unveiled plans last month to shrink its 400-strong workforce by a quarter to help cut annual costs by $20 million.The refinery operator is one of Northland’s biggest employers, with a workforce of about 550, including some 150 contractors.
