Govt to declare climate crisis next week

The government is to use a motion in Parliament next week to declare a climate emergency.Climate Change Minister James Shaw said the world was in midst of a climate crisis and declaring a climate emergency is a clear statement of the government’s intent to address the problem.The move is seen by many as purely symbolic.
