Silver Fern Farms forks over $8.1m dividend

Meat company Silver Fern Farms will pay dividends of $8.1 million after a slight dip in net profit after tax to $65.4m for the year to December 2020.The company, which operates 14 New Zealand processing sites and is jointly owned by Chinese company Shanghai Maling Aquarius and its farmer shareholders, will pay a dividend of 5.5 cents a share to ordinary and rebate shareholders.It will also pay its supplying shareholders a further "patronage reward" of 5.7c a share, it said.The Dunedin based firm, which handed back its $43.3m paid unde...
