NZ dollar climbs above 67 US cents; greenback falls on view Fed will take longer to hike
By Tina Morrison Aug. 24 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar rose above 67 US cents as traders delayed their expectations for US interest rate hikes, broadly weakening the greenback. The kiwi touched 67.07 US cents late on Friday in New York and was trading at 66.53 cents at 8am in Wellington, from 66.82 cents at the New York close, and 66.24 cents in Wellington at the end of last week.
