Economic growth in New Zealand's major cities is likely to catch up with the rural backbone which was less affected by the covid-19 pandemic and recovered much more quickly.The cities' growth will be thanks to the red-hot housing market supporting higher household spending, Westpac economist Paul Clark said in his bank's latest report on NZ's regions."The roaring strength of the housing market in response to low interest rates has helped to boost household spending and an economic recovery in all regions," he said.&quo...
