New Zealand on Air’s head of journalism Raewyn Rasch believes there were “missed opportunities” in the first round of Public Interest Journalism Fund applications, as the crown entity selects its initial group of recipients.The $55 million Public Interest Journalism Fund (PIJF), a ring-fenced part of the NZ Media Fund, will allocate its first round to journalism projects and industry development initiatives. A total of 129 submissions have been shortlisted.
