The specialist tribunal created to deal with the leaky homes crisis is preparing to close — not because the problem has gone away, but because the law no longer allows new cases to be brought.In its latest annual report, recently tabled in Parliament, chair Kevin Kilgour confirmed the Weathertight Homes Tribunal has no new cases awaiting hearing and only ten still active, all expected to conclude by 2026.“The year ahead will likely feature resolution of the current ten claims. There will be no new claims to resolve,” he wrote....
