Fuel retailers Gull and NPD will merge to create a network of 240 outlets around New Zealand; a move they say will lead to lower pump prices.The two companies claim the increased buying power of one billion litres of fuel a year will lower costs for motorists. The merger would also improve distribution efficiency and reduce duplicate systems.The proposed merger is subject to regulatory approval.
