Thorn/Limelight merger creates new car fintech firm

Auckland personal loan and financing company Thorn Financial Services is merging with car dealership management software outfit Limelight Software.Since 2018, Thorn’s parent company Fox Group has held a 25% stake in Limelight, which owns the Motorcentral, Need A Car and BuyerScore brands and services. From April 1 the new company, Limelight Group, will offer financial services direct to consumers through Limelight Software’s dealers.The value of the merger was not disclosed, but a spokesperson told BusinessDesk the merged group...
