Negotiations between the government and the bevy of contractors building the billion-dollar Transmission Gully highway north of Wellington will drag on for another four weeks.The New Zealand Transport Agency will make a further advance payment of $5 million to keep the winter programme running on the 27-kilometre road running through to Aug. 7. The agency, which has adopted its Maori name Waka Kotahi, is locked in talks with contractor Wellington Gateway Partnership and the CPB-HEB sub-contractor building the road as to how the cost of covid-19...
