The government will loosen up the criteria for its wage subsidy extension, which it expects will make another 40,000 businesses eligible for more help.And it will give small businesses another two weeks to access interest free government loans. The eight-week extension to the subsidy – which starts on June 10 - will now accept applications from firms that experience a 40 percent drop in revenue, rather than the 50 percent slump initially signaled.
