The expected omicron outbreak has been declared.New Zealand will move tonight at 11.59pm to the ‘red’ setting on the traffic light system on covid-19 protection policy, the prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, announced at 11am this morning.Travel to Auckland by a Nelson family between Jan 13 and 16 has potentially exposed hundreds of people at events in Auckland.
