New Zealand would have a competitive advantage as a hydrogen producer and exporter, if it acts quickly, the government has been told.The report by consultancy company Castalia for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is part of the work under way for the government’s Hydrogen Roadmap.Castalia looked at how hydrogen might be produced and used in NZ under a business-as-usual (BAU) pathway out to 2050 and suggestions for possible interventions.The BAU modelling suggests around 8% of NZ’s energy demand could be met by gre...
