Another company has been handed down a hefty fine for unlawfully saying its steel mesh building products met earthquake safety standards.Steel manufacturer Euro Corporation (Euro) has been fined $361,000 after pleading guilty to 14 charges brought by the Commerce Commission. The regulator alleged the Auckland-based company breached the Fair Trading Act by making false or misleading and unsubstantiated representations for its SE615 steel mesh products, which the company marketed and sold as being earthquake grade steel mesh.The charges rela...
