TVNZ head of news and current affairs Paul Yurisich has resigned following an independent review into the station's recruitment policies prompted by the abrupt departure of Breakfast presenter Kamahl Santamaria. Yurisich stepped down after a report led by senior lawyer Margaret Robins found inadequacies in the state-backed broadcaster’s hiring policies, processes, and practices.The review came after Santamaria quit his high-profile role as the anchor of TVNZ’s morning show after just one month.
