The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) has today received a compliance notice from the privacy commissioner concerning the cyber-attack the bank suffered in December 2020.The notice, the first to be issued under new powers given in the Privacy Act 2020, gives the bank a reporting template designed to detail how it has improved its policies and procedures and the security of its IT systems.A breach of a third-party file sharing system was revealed in January, which resulted in the loss of sensitive data of an unconfirmed number of RBNZ clients....
