The rush of housing consents continued unabated through November, with 4,688 new approvals for the month – up more than a fifth on November 2020.Stats NZ said the number of new home consents for the past 12 months skyrocketed to 48,522 nationally, a year-on-year increase of 26% and the highest level since statistics began being recorded pre-World War II. November’s consents were valued at $2.1 billion, also eclipsing the highest monthly build level ever, being 4,490 recorded last August, valued at $1.88b.Construction statistics...
