A Christchurch property developer has intervened in a dispute over an electronic sign, armed with two palm trees. Last December, Richard Diver planted the trees, each about five or six metres tall, at Hotel Carlton Mill on Bealey Ave, on the same site as the iconic Strawberry Fare restaurant. Diver, who redeveloped much of Victoria St post-quake, knows the owners.
