Air NZ cuts expected loss as travel ramps up

Air New Zealand says improving trends in travel bookings have shaved more than $50 million off the expected loss for the year to June 30.Instead of an expected loss of more than $800m, advised on March 30, the airline now expects “a loss before other significant items and taxation of less than $750m”, it said in a statement to the NZX this morning.There was “strong passenger booking on short haul and international services” and domestic demand had improved, with business travel back to about 90% of pre-covid levels.Howev...
