Finaccess Restauración has made a formal takeover offer for Restaurant Brands, the company behind KFC, Pizza Hut, and Carl's Jr in New Zealand.
The offer, which was sent to shareholders, is for the acquisition of all the ordinary shares in Restaurant Brands that Finaccess does not already own.
The offer is open for acceptance until November 12, 2025, unless extended by Finaccess.
Restaurant Brands' committee of independent directors will issue a target company statement by October 29, 2025, which will include an independent adviser's report and a recommendation to shareholders.
In the meantime, the committee has advised shareholders not to take any action regarding the takeover offer.
