The 37th America’s Cup is heading to Barcelona, according to a video statement by the Spanish city’s mayor, Ada Calau.Released overnight, Calau says: “Today, Barcelona celebrates great news.”“Our city will host The America’s Cup in 2024, the oldest competition in the world and one of the most important, with economic and media impact.”The video’s release coincided with a statement from the Irish government that another of the city’s bidding for the Cup, Cork, was no longer in the running.The...
