BUSINESS BREAKDOWN: Fonterra cuts 2015 payout to farmers, sees some light next season

By Paul McBeth May 28 (BusinessDesk) - Fonterra Cooperative Group has trimmed its forecast payout to farmer shareholders in the current season by 10 cents per kilogram of milk solids, though is promising some light at the end of the tunnel with a 19 percent lift in the predicted return next season. The world's biggest dairy exporter lowered the forecast payout for the current season to $4.40/kgMS from $4.50/kgMS, while retaining its expectations to pay a dividend of between 20 cents and 30 cents per share, well down from last seasons' rec...
