Business confidence largely unfazed by Auckland lockdown

Business confidence was unfazed by new lockdown restrictions in Auckland, the final August ANZ business outlook survey showed.The reading was in line with the preliminary data, published just a few days before covid-19 was discovered in the community in Auckland.A net 41.8 percent of businesses were pessimistic about the economy versus a net 42.4 percent in the preliminary read while a net 17.5 percent were negative about their own activity versus a net 17 percent in the preliminary read.“The recent re-emergence of covid-19 is dishearteni...
