CareSaver invests in medicinal cannabis, Sharesies

Pathfinder Asset Management’s ethical KiwiSaver plan, CareSaver, has taken stakes in medicinal cannabis company Rua BioScience and online investment platform Sharesies, investing $420,000 and $460,000 respectively.Head of investment Paul Brownsey said the stakes are the scheme’s first foray into unlisted New Zealand companies.“It’s a great side benefit that in the current climate we can provide capital to growing local companies that provide jobs and develop expertise here in New Zealand.
