CentrePort has no plans to invest the greater part of its earthquake insurance settlement into expanding its container services, with its biggest ticket item a $58 million upgrade of its Seaview wharf in Petone.This would refute claims by Napier Port published this week in BusinessDesk it was “a source of concern” to have its lower North Island rival sink $200m of its $472.5m payout from the 2016 Kaikoura earthquake into building more container capacity.
