Commerce Commission wants to trim $300m more from Chorus investment plan

The Commerce Commission is proposing to cut $303 million from Chorus's total expenditure allowance for the next four years.In a draft decision, announced on Thursday, $1.59 billion would be allowed for the years 2025-2028, a reduction of 16% from what Chorus (CNU) requested.This was in addition to a $181m reduction that Chorus tabled in an amended proposal announced to the market on Feb 5.The commission’s proposed allowance consists of $815m of base capital expenditure (capex), $171m of connection capex, and $608m of operational expen...
