Summerset Group has gained resource consent to build a $150 million retirement village in Lower Hut that will house more than 300 residents.Chief executive Julian Cook said the green light is good news because high-quality villages are limited in the area and Hutt City Council's urban growth strategy specifically includes new retirement villages.Lower Hutt's population of over-75-year-olds is expected to more than double over the next 20 years.Construction is likely to start next year and the village will include 155 independent living...
