Building activity up more than a third for Q3

Building activity in the September quarter was back to normal levels, with a post-lockdown seasonally-adjusted jump of 36 percent in residential construction and a 33 percent climb in non-residential work compared to same period a year earlier.That saw total building volumes up by a seasonally adjusted 35 percent to $3.2 billion in the third quarter, with residential accounting for $1.92 billion and non-residential at $1.25 billion.After accounting for increasing construction costs - to help show underlying changes in the volume of work - Stats...
