Govt triggers pandemic response plan

The government has triggered its official pandemic response plan as the World Health Organisation grapples with whether to call a global public health emergency over the coronavirus outbreak originating from the central Chinese city of Wuhan.Health Minister David Clark told journalists at the Labour Party's offsite caucus near Martinborough today that the government was "alert but not alarmed" at this stage by the flu-like virus that is known to have claimed some 17 lives and to be transferable between humans after apparently jumping from lives...
