Mainfreight founder Bruce Plested is on the cusp of joining New Zealand's tiny list of billionaires as the global logistics empire he built soars to new heights. Plested is within a hair's breadth of becoming a billionaire - on paper at least - from his Mainfreight stake alone when the shares hit an all-time high $60.10 yesterday, valuing the 16.2 million shares he directly owns or oversees as a trustee at $974.7 million.The shares were trading this morning at $59.30 for a valuation of $960.55 million for Plested's stake.Feted...
