New Zealand Rugby’s (NZR) constituents have voted overwhelmingly in favour to progress a deal with the United States equity firm, Silver Lake.The 89-1 vote by the provincial unions is the final vote in a contentious two-year process that has seen considerable opposition and reworking of the deal.Under the agreement, which has to be ratified by the NZR board, Silver Lake will invest $200 million in CommercialCo, a new entity set up to hold NZR’s revenue-generating activities valued at $3.5 billion.NZR will offer up to $100m to domest...
