Ampol is dropping the idea of floating its Gull arm to help ensure its takeover of Z Energy gets approved by regulators and there is said to be strong interest in buying its New Zealand assets.The Australian based company has suggested an initial public offering (IPO) of its NZ retail arm in its application to the Commerce Commission to smooth the way for its $2 billion takeover of Z.However, in December the regulator signalled it was not happy with the float idea in its initial statement of issues.Ampol wants 100% of NZ’s largest fu...
