ASB raises mortgage rates, some term deposit rates

ASB Bank has raised its fixed-term mortgage rates from six months to five years, mostly by 30 basis points, and has raised a few term deposit rates by between 10 and 30 points.The bank has raised its six-month mortgage rate to 3.29% from 2.99%, well above Cooperative Bank's 2.19%, and its one-year rate to 2.55% from 2.19%, well above Heartland's one-year online only rate of 1.89%ASB has also raised its 18 months, three, four and five-year mortgage rates by 30 basis points and its two-year rate by 36 points to 2.95%.
