The weather gods smiled on Briscoe Group for its first mandatory climate disclosure year.The group reported a 40% drop in scope 1 and 2 emissions for the 2024 year but most of that was out of its control.As it happened, fossil fuel use to generate electricity on the national grid was low so renewable energy generation increased.It's one of 11 NZX50 companies that reported a more than 40% drop in scope 2 emissions in the 2023-24 financial years.Other companies benefitting from benign hydro conditions include Channel Infrastructure, Chorus, P...
