Growth in new home loans eases in H1 2025: NZ Banking Association

Growth in the number of new-home loans written in the first half of 2025 eased from the final six months of 2024, as New Zealand emerges from a difficult economic climate, data shows.In the six months to the end of June, there were 60,249 new home loans, up 6% from the 56,938 seen in the final half of 2024.
